While undergoing blood transfusion do you SWEAT & on

While undergoing blood transfusion do you SWEAT & on normal days like in winters how do you feel, like wearing to keep yourselves warm or is it like normal weather.

Here in HYDERABAD (A.P.) INDIA, i am finding some children SWEATING on transfusion day sweat starts from the head. On normal days even when the temperture is 7 degrees celcius in the night they donot feel the cold. It is normal with a slow speed FAN overhead.

Can you tell your personal experiences?
with regards

....I've NEVER sweat after blood or heard of it. I like the winter (if it's not too long and I get to do something fun like ski) but I LOVE the summers. Weather has never really had any kind of effect on me honestly.

I sweat alot after a transfusion. If you think about it, it makes alot of sense. Your body is adjusting to someone elses blood. For me, it lasts about 24 hrs.

I do not sweat during or after transfussion. It feels just as normal. The only abnormality i feel after 2 - 3 hrs of transfussion is bad body ache. My whole body keeps paining for the whole night. but its gets normal on the following day by itself.
Please tell me if it happnes with u guys too.

I've had this since i can remember. I don't sweat a lot but I do get like hot flushes when active the following day after the transfusion and sweat a little bit.

Actually, I have felt the same too.. not always though.
But last time I went for blood on tuesday ... my body ache was terrible.
Especially the pain in my chest was a killer. It was only after sleeping that night that I was able to feel better the next day!

I will open a new thread to see what are the most common things feel ppl right after their blood transfusions and what do they do to help themselves.

Re: While undergoing blood transfusion do you SWEAT & on

My 2 children do not sweat before and after transfusion. But sometimes they get a fever or have a chill during transfusion and a paracetamol is the cure. Their joints ache sometimes after transfusion and i just let them rest after a nights sleep they are ok. But what I notice is that they always feel hot and warm. They need to be in an airconditioned room or an electric fan in front of them always.
