| Thalassemia Beta Trait & Life Insurance
I have a 2 year old with Thalassemia Beta Trait and I tried to get life insurance for him through my work. They have denied his application pending a full review of his entire medical file. I do not have a problem supplying his blood work information but I fail to see why they need his entire file. I guess I may be a little bit sensitive due to the fact that he is not yet 2 and already having a stigma from having this trait. I am also afraid that if I do not now supply the information to the insurance company that he will be marked as "denied" and have trouble obtaining life insurance when he is older. Has anyone else been through something like this? Suggestions? Thank you, |
