Adult Thals Meeting With Thalassemics India - Thalforum

HELLO!

This is to inform all the thals from delhi and outside that thalassemics india is having a meeting where all the adult thals have been called to discuss thier probs , all the things they things should have any solution like insurance , jobs , blood shortage , desferal etc etc etc. they can tell them prob they might have faced in their lives.

so i on behalf of thalassemics india invite all the thals from delhi or outside , if you are not able to come then i invite your inputs and i promise you to give your msg to thalassemics india in printed format.

so any one of you if want to send any prob u face or wanna tell anything to them pls put it here .

it will be on 14 th jan , 2006 , 1400hrs.
hope ppl from delhi will join that meeting.

and gagan i think problems of thals are same no matter where do one live and if they are able to solve any problems for delhi thals it will be the sme for even thals in ther cities.

Dear Vikas Thank u for the info meeting on adult Thals.

The State Govts. differ on issues let it be Thals or anyother issue so please make it a national issue concerning Thals & donot limit to Delhi because the rules are some different in Hyderabad (A.P.).

Let's be National in approach so all over the country INDIA the benefits can be passed.

hello Mr. Rajesh

I would say all the thals living outside Delhi send details about problems they face, then only we can do something.
Probably here you are thinking we are approaching Delhi govt. to put forward our problems to them but its just a discussion among thals.
If what i mean is correct then please put forward problems you are facing or if you mean something else then please try and clear it with us.

i am sorry to say this but if only problems of thal in delhi is spoken and if we even have common problems which we dont and if they are resolved only delhi thal would benefit because the kind of help delhi is receiving from the delhi govt and facilties u got in delhi we dont have it here we dont even have a doctor who specilzes in thal and is recognised
The problems i would like resolved urgently is
1) the discrimination shown by employers. we are rejected or made to leave because we are thal
2) insurance
3) reduce the taxes on desferal and other drugs we require now and in the future
4) govt should make pre marriage test complusory and assist in bring about awarenesss in the country
5) govt should make the drugs required by us AVAILABLE to the poor thals who cannot afford it at no cost or at a lesser cost
6) govt should find ways to assist the poor thals in geting free tested blood
7) govt should find ways to assist the poor thals financially as well as other thals so THAT the govt can reduce the burden on thals and their family
8) govt should assist the thal societies in spreading awareness and helping thals
THESE PROBLEMS NEED TO BE SOLVED ON A NATIONAL BASIS
WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS ON THE NATIONAL BASIS WILL THE GOVT BE ABLE RESOLVE IT ON A NATIONAL BASIS THATS MY BIG QUESTION

These problems can be resolved only with central government or let Delhi govt.apply thought on requesting their counterpart in other states to follow the rules laid for THALS in Delhi.

gagncha you are in Bangalore & with so many medical facilities available no Doctor as Hemoto-Oncologist available is strange they can help you or else come to Hyderabad for any medical advise on THALS 565 KMS we have Doctors specialists in Hemotology.

Dear vikas,
gagancha has already listed the things to be done but these are possible only at the Central Govt: so as said previously let all assemble in DELHI to discuss with various ministries like health,finance,excise & home.

This should be given priority.

thanks for the offer but i go every year to mumbai to dr agrawal for my tests and check ups

i want to add something it would be difficult to make the govt approve our requests and if the delhi govt accepts it and not the other state govts then what the thals in the other states would not be able to benefit in any manner

so we must see that it is approved on a national basis by all the state govts and mainly the central govt

This time when i went to take Kelfer i noticed that there is no subsidy on kelfer in terms of VAT. Cipla is charging VAT at the rate of 4% which has increased the cost of medicine.

I won't be able to post for coming few days as i am leaving for banglore tomorow morning. It will be great if this issue can be raised also.

yes i am agree with all of u that there should be reduse in tax in medical ........ of evrey type wthere it is with bt or medecin ...... and do some thing of insurance plz do
