A specialy hospital for thalassemic patent.. - Thalforum

Hi friends,
this is a specially thing for us , get ur poll and opinion , how about a specially hospital for thal patent in INDIA ...... a idea from my brain and heart to this thread and on thalforum ......... plz get with ur opinion..

Hi pankaj

i also voted for combination a common hospital coz doctors for everyone will be present there say some thal has heart problem other has sugar ,etc. Our thal societies would not have enough funds to open,run & appoint doctors who specialise in a particular field.

atleast now we can use pur contact for fund's there r many thal society which organise the meeting's and functions they can help us even some of the scocial workers . and we can contact some ngo's which can helps us for doctors who can gives us some part off time .. on two days or three days of week even in this case i am sure our gov.. can help us .. its on us now how to respond on it if we try we can change the world ..

Dear all,
Hospital for thalasssemics specially is desirable and I for one really appreciate this thought.
What I feel you must do is
1. To establish a Blood Bank for thalassaemics and
2. Blood transfusion centre with about ten beds where people can do the iron chelation as well.
3. If you establish Blood Bank, you will need a Blood Bank officer and staff to carryout test and run the administration which requires a lot of funds. However, one can always seek support from organisations like Lions, otary, Giants, Red Cross and other N.G.O.'s who may come forward to extend support.ou can deploy Paediatrician on full time/part time basis or request them to give honorary services.
4. You are right. Where there is a will, there is a way. It is a matter of follow-up and vigorous persuation and I am confident that success will be yours.

HI GUYS,
well i want to tell all of you here that thal india has opened a thalassemia center in new delhi on 7th may 2005, right now they are having blood donation camps once a month for thals and also other stuff for thals and they are planning to have start transfusions also next year till then we have to wait.

then we will have the thing like pankaj is suggesting here
