Hello everyone.. Iam Shaq.. female from UAE. Well knew about this forum since last year.. and now i finally joined it... only to find every important yet interesting discussions. I'll try to be an active user just like all of you :)

Well i was diagnosed with Thal major since i was only 6 months old.
Fron then till now, the Emirates Thal. Society (ETS) has grown and improved tremendously. They now take care of all the aspects of the patients. Regular cardiac tests, blood tests, sugar counts, u name it. Also they have started these short lectures by the doctors themselves, which for me atleast have proven to be very motivating:)
And as far as the exapats are concerned, well there are more expats as thal. patients than the locals.. well thats how i noticed:D
Well i think, first an expat has to come and give them a case summary and then they would obviously tell them how it works in here. Pardon me, but iam not into the technicalities of the ETS. But i think expats are welcomed here!

well just finished my Bachelors in Management Information System from London School of Economics. Well lets see whats in store for me ahead:)..
I just became an aunt to a little princess:D... so just busy gazing her these days:).
