The practice adopted is 15 M.L. per Kg.of body weight can be extended to 20 M.L. per Kg of body weight per transfusion & the time required between transfusion is three weeks to maintain Hb 9-10, ofcourse iron chelation & vitamins along with folic acid to be strictly adhered.
